Lobi Stars first choice
goalkeeper, Terkaa Melai, has expressed satisfaction with his recovery rate.
Melai continues his
rehabilitation after sustaining an injury during pre-season which has kept him
out of league action this term.
“I have since resumed light
training and hope to be back soon considering my present state. I’ve been
watching the team and remain confident we will bounce back”, he said to
supersport.com.
In Melai’s absence, Lobi has
depended on the duo of former UNICEM Rovers goalkeeper, Agbor Ekoi and former
Nembe City goalkeeper, Edet Eteka.
Melai entered the league’s
record books in 2014 when he became the first goalkeeper to score seven penalty
kicks in a season.
Since making his debut on the
last day of season at Kaduna United, back in 2012, Melai remains the longest
serving goalkeeper.
