The
squad trained at Ciudad Real Madrid a week ahead of the 36th edition of
the Santiago Bernabéu Trophy that will be played on 18 August against
Galatasaray (10.30pm). Cristiano Ronaldo, Ramos and Coentrão joined up
with the group for an intense and varied session, where the squad worked
on tactical and technical aspects as well as improving fitness. Benzema
and Pepe continue to recover while Varane trained at the indoor
facilities.
Training began with strengthening work in the gym. Afterwards out on the pitch, the Whites coaching staff called for an intense technical-tactical exercise involving ball possession and pressing. Work finished with a match played on a smaller size pitch.
