HULK TO JOIN CHINESE SIDE

Zenit St Petersburg forward Hulk is believed to be joining Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG for a record fee. The deal is reported to be worth around 50 million, which will break the Asian transfer record of £38.4m. The 29-year-old Brazilian striker is expected to undergo his medical on Wednesday. Shanghai SIPG is managed by former England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson and he has said that the league's gradual growth will attract more star players in the future. The Chinese Football Association announced a lot of plans this March to become a football superpower by 2050. The Chinese national team has qualified for the World Cup only once, in 2002 and are currently ranked 81st in the FIFA world rankings.
