Leicester announced the contract extension of striker Jamie Vardy on Thursday ending all speculations
about his future. Vardy was heavily linked with Arsenal after the Gunners
triggered his release clause. Now reports have claimed that the reason for the
English player rejected Arsenal is due to their possession style of play. It is
also believed that Arsene Wenger did not guarantee his position as a striker.
Vardy who was phenomenal under the counter-attacking style of Claudio Ranieri is also confident that
Leicester can successfully defend the title and make a mark in the Champions
League?.
