GERMANY'S INJURY WOES

Germany striker Mario Gomez has been ruled out of the rest of Euro 2016 due to a torn hamstring he sustained during the quarter-final game against Italy. Midfielders Sami Khedira & Bastian Schweinsteiger could miss the semi-final game against France due to an adductor strain and ligament strain respectively. Coach Joachim Low believes that there is enough quality in the squad to replace injured players. "It is very disappointing when, at this crucial stage of the tournament, important players are ruled out. We accept the situation and have to find solutions. The quality of the squad is high, I have full confidence in all my players," said Low.
