Arsenal has announced the signing
of Japanese striker Takuma Asano from Sanfrecce Hiroshima. The Gunners did not
disclose further information about the player's contract but confirmed the
signing after the completion of his medical. The 21-year-old was impressive for
the Japanese club scoring 6 goals from 16 appearances, this year. Arsenal coach
Wenger said, "Takuma is a talented
young striker and very much one for the future. He has had an impressive start
to his career in Japan and we look forward to him developing over the next
couple of years."
